What views will I have my Touring Caravan?  Back to Top of page
Touring pitches are spacious with the outlook from the caravan offering an uninterrupted view across the 2 acre main lawned area, as opposed to  looking at other caravans parked directly opposite. We do not place caravans in regimented rows, nor do we mix tents with caravans. Views from around the rest of the site are exceptional. 'Breathtaking', and 'Amazing' are only a couple of words that customers have used describe them .

Will I be able to see my children play in front of my caravan?  Back to Top of page
No. The large, grass play area is situated out of site of the Touring caravans. The main touring field is a quiet tranquil area where touring customers can relax and not be disturbed by children at play. The playing of games of any description (including Boules), or cycling is NOT permitted in this area. If you prefer to observe your children at play from the caravan, then this site is perhaps not suitable for you.

Is the approach to The Site narrow? Back to Top of page
Not at all. There is no high density of traffic passing our site, it is 400 metres off the main through road, so no narrow, busy, winding country lanes to manouvre through. It is unknown for anyone to have to reverse whilst towing.

Is there a Shop nearby? Back to Top of page
Yes, just down the lane within easy walking distance. All basic requirements, Newsagent, Groceries, Cold Meats, Off Licence, Household Goods etc.

How far is the nearest Post Office? Back to Top of page
Located in the local shop, just down the lane within easy walking distance.

Does it get muddy? Back to Top of page
Not at all. Gravelled driveways to all areas, which are naturally well draining.

Are the Pitches Flat and of generous size? Back to Top of page
Yes very much so. Pitches are level. All touring pitches are at least 8 metres wide.

Are Dogs Allowed? Back to Top of page
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome.

Do you have Showers? Back to Top of page
Yes, 6 times as many as recommended by Visit Britain and the Welsh Tourist Board.( 3 male & 3  female & Disabled)
Hot water for showers and hand basins is always available and free of charge as is water for pot washing.

Will I have to queue to  use the Toilets/Showers? Back to Top of page
It is our policy not to overload the site. The result is that you are highly unlikely to have to queue for  the Toilet or Shower

Is it far to walk to the Toilets/Showers? Back to Top of page
Not at all ,between 12 metres and 120 metres depending upon which part of the site you are on.

Will there be groups of rowdy teenagers loitering around the toilets/site? Back to Top of page

Are you a Family Only site? Back to Top of page
Not at all. We welcome Couples, Small Families and (groups of) Sailing, Golfing, Walking Enthusiasts etc.

We do accept, by  prior arrangement only, single sex booking ie 3 males or 3 females.

Do you take Groups? Back to Top of page

It is our site policy not to accept Groups or multiple bookings of any kind.

We advertise as a very quiet site, suitable for small families and couples .Many people return to the site for this key reason - that being that they do not want to be next to a gathering of campers and feel overwhelmed by the volume of people.
As we advertise that we do not take groups, in the interest of those that chose to book because of this fact we must adhere to our policies.
Over recent years in our experience multiple family bookings ( 2 or more), or groups of any kind no matter how nice the people are do generate high noise levels simply due to the volume of people together, which opposes what we advertise as our site being.

In conclusion our site is not suitable for groups of any kind, and we no longer accept multiple unit booking.

Booking conditions

Groups: As we do not take groups. Individual tent bookings which, upon arrival, consitute a group will be asked to leave.

Please understand this is a family run site for small families and couples.  Multiple family bookings (2 or more) together, in our experience can cause as much disturbance as a group of singles if not behaving conscientiously and respectfully and therefore may not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.

Large Tents  Back to Top of page

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TENTS
During Bank Holidays, Wakestock, Easter, Whitsun and the July/August school summer holidays we regret that we have restrictions on tent sizes .

Tents which sleep 8 or more or over 6.4 metre (Large Tunnel, Dome/Igloo with arms etc.) - we can only accept in Low Season
. This is because these are oversized tents and often will not fit on our standard sized pitches which are all marked out.

In addition:

An extremely large area of the pitch is permanently covered by canvas and combined with their fixed groundsheets damages most of the grass on a pitch making it unusable for future bookings.

On adjacent pitches / customers are often left feeling crowded out by the size and profusion of guy ropes which often stray over pitch boundaries.

We are required to allow a minimum of 6m between units such tents make it impossible for us to abide by this law in peak periods when we are at capacity

Is it Quiet at night? Back to Top of page
